What is this ****e?? Just catching up on plus

Fifteen minutes to go, I'm hoping for a sinkhole.

OMG the bus driver had a heart attack girls!! Let's all make some joke's about it and drive off on his bus

I really loved it. I loved the voices in the Rovers:o

Clearly Corrie writers had a "bring your kids to work" day, and had a few eight year olds write tonights episode.

Does anyone else feel this is the most boring episode of corrie ever?

Seriously dire. Wishing them all dead here. If there's going to be some kind of accident it should have happened by 8.15 and have the aftermath keep us interested. Cant believe I'm still watching :(

Why is Jasmine on bus ?? Surely psycho Jeff wouldn't allow it ??

Eileen didn't give him a choice.

Seb moved out and was afraid to tell Eileen? Whats with all the moving people around off camera? You'd think he'd have said thanks to her at least.

After all that, i was expecting jasmine to hit Jeff.

But no, she's swallowed his lies, hook, line and sinker.

very strange episode tonight - i wonder if it were filmed around Christmas because its like filmed weeks in advance - weird whatever it was.

just been reading up on Dennis tanner , Corrie sacked him out of the blue , he werent happy about it at the time anyway

10000th episode......and the worst episode ever made! the bus driver collapses apparently dead and they sit there as if nothings happened. just bizarre.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,020 ✭✭✭Shelga

Am I the only one thinking this episode isn’t half bad and looked great craic to film??

I am nearly finished a bottle of wine though :pac:

    Yes.

When did Mary get a PSV license?

Of them all, she is the one I would have expected to have First Aid, but she just flapped about.

    10000th episode.......

ah thats what it was so

ah thats what it was so

Pity it takes me reading it just now in the news for me to find out.

Ken is moving into a home and it was the 10,000th episode.

Lets all ignore the fact that Ken moving into a home is the most pointless move ever. He lives nextdoor to a pub, with a shop about 200 metres away, across the road from the medical centre, with his family living on his doorstep.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,042 ✭✭✭SouthernBelle

    Hurrah! Ken’s leaving!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,323 ✭✭✭happyday

I got the feeling that Rita was going to die in her sleep tonight. All the memories on the bus and the voices in the pub were so strange.

  • Registered Users Posts: 925 ✭✭✭OfTheMarsWongs

It’s a miracle the bus driver survived with Sean not even throwing a jacket over him to keep him warm and then the ambulance bringing him the whole way back to Weatherfield General.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,211 ✭✭✭Shakyfan

Liked the way they had the children playing with the balls outside the shop at the beginning, echoing the start of the very first episode!

I enjoyed Ken,Rita and Audrey chatting on the bus, and Rita remembering the voices in the Rovers. The rest was absolute ****e. Am I alone in not finding Mary funny? And Gail needs to be buried under the patio.

Long gone are the great days of Corrie...that's so sad.

Hah. Not alone with that at all. I really enjoyed this eve. Thought it was a lovely nod to all that has been.

the end bit of the 10,000th episode for those that missed it:

I’ll admit tonight’s Corrie 10,000 was a little boring but you have to look deeper to appreciate it this was classic Corrie at its finest back then Corrie was simple basic normal problems not the hype drama storylines we see today.

Nice to look back as I’ve been watching Corrie for 32 years, here’s to the next 10,000 episodes

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,323 ✭✭✭happyday

I just saw online that Ken is leaving the street but not the show (yet). He will tell his family on Monday. 😢

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,853 ✭✭✭✭Andy From Sligo

ah well they have done fires / tram crash / live shows and more to mark their anniversaries in the past. On the whole with the bus thing i hated it .. but that end bit with the echo's in the pub and the black and white titles at the end I have to applaud them on that ....

There I was looking forward to some Blackpool scenes, perhaps an odd tram... But it was a boring episode.

Surprised Rita gave her rings to Amy instead of Jennie.
So that's Ken out of it? Who's going to look after Eccles??? Not believable that he'd want to retire to an old folks home while hes still mobile, independent and has family and friends around him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,853 ✭✭✭✭Andy From Sligo

Rita giving them rings to Amy was like "now you look after these lady" was like these old women that search for ages through their purse and then what feels like an eternity gives 1 pound 50 in change and shoves it into their grand-child's hand and tells them "now dont spend it all at once!" LOL

and like if Amy would be 'over the moon' at getting rita's rings and knowing that she cannot go down to the pawn brokers the next day to sell em off and buy the latest i-phone! ... come on now , i mean like she's bloody 16 and this aint the victorian times! :D

Or to Sally or Sally's girls or even Gemma or as you said Jenny

At first I thought the ashes belonged to the husband that tried to put Rita under a tram in Blackpool, I still can't figure out who he was!.. I enjoyed the music on the road trip.

Alan Bradley (that was his name) and Rita were never married

The last five minutes made it. I did love hearing the voices in the pub at the end, but the first forty minutes were awful.

I really miss the likes of jack, Vera , Fred and Reg and blanch and the rest of the older characters this younger crowd aren’t a patch on them ... it all gone very predictable and not many strong women roles so many of the ladies on the street being made out to be fools .

60th anniversary is in December there doing a big stunt like they did for there 50th

2 anyway stood out for me. Coach trip, driver takes ill and local takes over. (Jolly Boy's Outing.)

Ashes to Ashes, Del and Rodney have an urn of ashes, sit down and try to decide what to do with them, leave them on the roadside and a council sweeper sucks up the urn. (Last night, replace sweeper with ambulance.)

Just a pity that Virgin Media felt the need to squeeze half the titles to plug whatever ****e was coming up next...

Geoff has "love bombed" Yasmeen, it's a classic abuser weapon. He'll be back to his usual terrible self once he's sure she's back for good. It's really awful to watch but Corrie are really doing a great job, built it up slowly over time and showing it can happen to anyone. It's not always physical abuse that can destroy you.

yeah thats right. am sure they could have waited til at the end.
it was good watching the old black and white end titles again. - was trying to make out if the used the old 'trumpet' music theme or if it was the new one. It hasnt changed that much over the years that theme music, just subtly .

Yasmeen should confide in tim and ask if geoff is telling lies about his first wife ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Roy and Hayley are Amy's godparents, didn't Tracy try to sell them Amy pretending Roy was her father, will Amy discover this

Was Amy even at Hayley's funeral?

I love what they done with Geoff. No one seen it coming even though the little clues were probably there. Arguably the most convincing villain thats ever been on the show. I think his punishment will eventually come in the form of Tim and Faye seeing him for what he is and banishing him and cutting him out of their life for good.

There's no way that's punishment enough for the creep. Faye is painful at the best of times anyway so hardly a punishment. No I want to see him really suffer.
