Hi. Can you recommend a soundbar for an xbox 1?

Santa (Santa's wife) brought the kids a new ACER - KG271 Full HD 27" LED Monitor, so we've moved the kids out of the grown up room and off the amp/surruond sound.

Does it really matter if the soundbar is connected to the xbox via HDMI, or will optical audio be just as good from a sound perspective?

Should I need a separate sub or just get a bog standard.to

Hi Boardsmember.

If really depends on what you want to spend.
The entry level ones will only have optical connections and no subwoofers.
It's always better to connect via HDMI if possible.

The exception is the JBL Bar Studio priced at 119 Euro.
Has HDMI connection but no subwoofer

For Subwoofer and HDMI there is the POLK Signa S2 coming in at 199 Euro

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for the reply Kenny. I was looking at or close to entry level. The JBL looks a good option, though I do like the separate sub on the POLK.

How about this one: https://www.richersounds.ie/p-202920-q-acoustics-media2-m2-soundbase.aspx

Hi BoardsMember,

Those soundbars would be the best entry level ones we have!

Let me know what you think.

Kind regards

David

Thanks David.

How soon would you be able to deliver one of the M2's to Dublin?
