I've a set of red mtb/spd pedals in a drawer and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what clear they take? They look similar but not identical to shimano spd's. Different enough for me to wonder if they don't take a different cleat.

I'm pretty sure I had a pair of these back in the day - they are Corratec pedals
I'm also 99% sure they need a proprietary cleat and are not Shimano cleat compatible

    Contrary opinion.

if you scroll down to Product description, it says Shim compatible.

    "Shim Anokompa Compatible"

Could that account for the 1% in doubt??! :)

Did you try and see if an SPD will work with them? Are they double or single sided?

Double sided. I don't have my old mtb / Cross shoes to hand to just check the fit the old fashioned analogue way.
