We'd all commented on how quiet it seemed around here this summer. I think the only surprise is that June was ahead of last year! It's definitely ramping up, but I think it does that at this time of the year anyway.

Agree. Surprised June is up as you say. It felt (for me anyway) the quietest summer in a long time on here.

Still great to see some regulars posting again & life coming back to the forum. This day week is DDD so we'll be in the thick of it in no time.

7 of the busiest months ever on here came from 2021

The other 5 months 2020. The Covid years.

7 of the slowest months (since records began in 2017) belong to 2017.

3 came from 2018 and 2 came from 2023!

I feel the general build up to this year's Christmas has been a bit subdued everywhere this October, don't know if it's the good weather or the country is feeling a little down at the moment.

I feel the same. I'm not sure if I'm ready for the on-season switch to flick on Friday week. It will be strange seeing the Christmas ads on TV when it's still so mild out. I'm sure a little bit of Christmas music will help get me in the spirit.

Oct-24 ended up 240 posts behind Oct-23

Nov-24 ended up 105 posts ahead of 2023.

December beat out November by just 5 posts to be our busiest month of the year for the 2nd year running.

November was the previously busiest month between the years 2022-2017.

Overall 2024 was 1,000 posts behind on 2023 and is now ranked the 7th busiest year overall.

The Off-Topic thread was our busiest thread with just under half of the overall posts for the year - 3,374

The Countdown thread the second busiest - 570 posts

ChristmasFM the 3rd - 379 posts

And Sweets,Food,Chocolates, etc - 350 posts

Another interesting Stat for 2024 was there was only 1 post separating busiest and 2nd busiest day of the week for posts.

Monday was the busiest with Tuesday the 2nd busiest.

Saturday & Sunday were the quietest and 2nd Quietest which I think are all self explanatory! haha

Thanks for compiling the stats @Loughc, surprising how busy November is, sometimes more traffic than December but I guess from about the 20th of Dec to about the 27th for that week people we are actually right in the middle of it rather than talking about it. :)

Big jump from Oct-24 to Nov-24 this year as well. Good to see. There was a great buzz around here in Nov-Dec.

I wonder what was going on in March 2023? The number of posts nearly halved in April that year.

Jan 2025 is off to a good start tho!
