    Hi.i currently work a 39hour week and receive 550p/w after tax.i been offered a second job which is a contract for 80 days that I have to tender for.i have to give a daily rate for the tender but I've no idea how this works.i don't know what expenses will be deducted from my second job so I don't know how to tender for it.i would appreciate any help.

    Help with what? Setting a daily price? How would we know what your time and expertise is worth. Not sure what the tax question here is.

    Sorry.i meant to ask what percentage of tax would I pay on second income.or how all of that works.does the tax interfere with my first job.i have no questions on any other aspect of the job.

    will this additional income change your tax status on all your income, if it drives you up into the next tax bracket you will need to pitch strong to counter that.

    Contractors usually work on an annual leave charge too which allows them to pay someone to cover them during their own annual leave days, typically 25-30 days value over the whole year.
