Forget about it. Costs more than agitation. Maintenance s huge issue. Lads turning it on and off to save electricity costs. The one lads that I know has it now agitates these tanks

Could be pressure on there systems from an environmental point of view. Nitrous Oxide emissions will have to be reduced and I'd be concerned that you could see some of these systems switched off.

I’d mix it with a spoon before I’d pay that for it

    Just for another perspective

Fierce convenient it’s ready to spread so can go when ground is suitable. No need to time agitating tank and man & machine tied up to do that.

System does like plenty water to aid mixing. Does not particularly like silage dragged in by cows... so unchopped bales not recommended

We had one installed in about 2007 or so because the shed could not be easily agitated with a pump. It was supplied by Westfalia if my memory serves me.

It didn't work, full stop. I ultimately got the full cost of the install refunded.

Part of the problem might have been that tank was only 5 1/2 ft deep, but even then I can't imagine it working only in the wateriest of situations.

The only viable solution in the end was to either get of cattle or build a brand new shed and agitate with a pump. I chose the less wise option...
