    Whats yer favourite Cake, seeing as I love them i'll go first,, no such thing as a bad cake, I've had christmas cake.. acceptable, Christmas pudding, edible but the work of the devil, Yule Log, very nice but a bit too much chocco, swiss roll.. angels leftovers,, big durty geataux.. the great almighty shat this out for us to revere for ever, cheesecake,,, very nice but a weird idea putting cheese in a cake,, but now,, someone, who knows I'm a bit of a cake person just brought 4 chocolate eclairs to the house and I think I'm in heaven, the only thing on the planet to challenge is the coffee slice,,. anyway, I'm off to eat the other two eclairs and Have a lovely something or other

    I don't usually like cake at all. I really like sweets though. Its the sourness i like that sour sweetness.My friend made a lemon cake and asked me to taste it just before Christmas that and black forest gateaux is the only cake i like.

    Not really a cake person though.

    Ahh forgot about the lemon cake,,pure mastery of the cakiness, and do you pronounce gateaux with a strong ux or a silent one? makes a differnce to the taste IMO

    If I had to pick a des(s)ert island cake, it would have to be chocolate biscuit cake. Always so rich but damnit it has everything. Biscuit and chocolate. In cake form. Absolute genius.

    Would never have considered it a festive cake until I had it in the shape of a pudding, topped with white chocolate ganache and icing holly shapes. Exactly what I didn't need this Christmas but am glad I did anyway
