    Hi

I am considering building onto my parents home. Just a sitting room, bathroom, kitchen and two small bedrooms.
How much would this cost appropriately? I know quality of the finishes etc will have an implication on the cost but I would not be looking at top of the range for anything just pretty standard things.,this is very much a thought at the moment and I have not included sizes as I don’t even know what that would look like yet. I know I would have to get drawings etc but I am just wondering from a financial point of view is it even worth paying money to go to get drawings done.
I am in the west as this may implicate price.

    Any thoughts welcome.

New build prices : Say 60m2 @ 1200/m2 = 72k. Minus one wall and some plumming and electrics already institu= 60k

Get a very local fella/s who would tip away or do paid by the day work= < 45k
Stay under the 40m2 rule =<35k
