I'm half packed at the moment but grabbing a taxi at 12.30 am bound for Coachpark and the bus from Galway to Dublin airport. I'm flying into Edinburgh and bound for Dunblane and Dundee for the Xmas and New Year to my fellow siblings my brother and sister. Hope you are planked in a warm place and full of festive cheer, merry Xmas fellow boardsies. :)

Mother's home for Xmas dinner and presents, back to work at 4am on the 26th at the Airport (just that 1 day! Rest off till New Year's)... will head to my Sister's after down in Wicklow for Dinner and stay the night there.

    Common denominator; FOOD!! :D

Heading to the parents on Tuesday morning, the wife will join me Wednesday, and back to the rental accommodation on Friday. Might have another day on the 30th or 1st when the sister can come too.

I did the same flight on the same day last year. I'm a day too early for the soppy airport arrivals.

And I'm always made get the bus back so nobody is ever there to greet me :pac:

Hoping to make it all the way from bed to sofa on the big day, and eventually back again.

Spending christmas at home. Heading west to the inlaws then the weekend after Christmas.

Looking forward to a few days off work and hopefully no drama from attention seekers.

We've already barricaded ourselves behind an 8ft thick wall, 7ft high of delicious delectables and fabulous fancies, like painting yourself into a corner, only tastier.

All that's left is to eat our way back outside by spring :)

I'll call around to my dad's house at some point on Christmas morning, exchange gifts, etc, and then I'm going to my sister's house for dinner.

Last year, I told a few white lies about my plans and got away with spending the day alone. Turned out nice in the end, polished off a box of Celebrations, watched Home Alone (appropriately enough) for the afternoon, followed by the EastEnders annual misery special, and then read a book and drank whiskey for the rest of the evening.

It was nice. This'll be nice too, but different.

In Spain at my mother's with my family.
The two weeks of sun and warm is the absolute best thing ever. And Turron, oh man, I love it.

First time to my daughter's home, who has valiantly offered to make the Christmas dinner for this large family. I'm on Potato Duty. Woo-hoo!

I don't know yet. The plan is to go to my mother in law but my dog is being put to sleep on Monday and depending how we feel we might just stay home. No one is really in the mood for Christmas this year.

Ah, that sucks, evil twin. Hope you can manage to enjoy Christmas regardless

Have a Happy Xmas from a stranger anyway

My heart goes out to you and the family, Eviltwin. X

I'm going to stagger from the bed to the sofa, from which vantage point I'll watch my MIL do everything while I eat whatever she hands me. Or else I'll be up before dawn with her, pre-heating ovens and baking things. Or a combination of both.

Staying at home, have quite a few staying but still lonely for the ones who aren't here.

Going to work! Though from Tuesday to Friday. Doesn’t bother me, it should be fine and even if it isn’t, I’ll live. Looking forward to curling up with a fire on and the cat beside me in the evening once I’m finished, this is my second Christmas living in my own house but last year I went back to my parents so it’ll be nice to spend it here this time.

Flying to Dublin from Manchester tomorrow with the kids. My family does Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve, my boys are going to their dad's family on Christmas Day afternoon and I'm going to probably either get very drunk or end up in bed by 8pm.

Just arrived home today for a surprise visit for Mam. Told her wasn’t coming home (i mean who could turn down an 80+ year olds christmas wish). Up for the past 48 hours organising everyone for travel, packing, washing ironing and work to finish off.

Arrived to a shocked family and an Irish mammy who cried with happiness. Have nothing done for pressies and dont care. Will organise the kids tomorrow (not that they are small anymore) but brothers / sisters can feck off..they get me..lol

Very sorry to hear that. We have a dog and while I have little attachment to her, I appreciate that everyone else in the family does. It's a sad time. Hope the new year is kinder to you.

Nowhere. Wasnt even planning on getting dressed on the day. The wife is in work so the plan was to eat chocolate and work on some serious Lego constructions with the little one.

But the wife has organised for my parents to fly over so the kid doesn't miss out on the festivities so now I'll have to get dressed.....and cook

    Humbug :D

The xmas??? Really? Do you say ‘The Easter’ or The Halloween? Why did you add in ‘the’ when you could just as easily said ‘where are you going for Xmas/Christmas?’

Filth. Had it this week. Open up the pearly gates and let me in. Thankfully it shifted after a few days. Feel better soon! Will spend xmas at home with family. Will be a quiet one. Happy and peaceful christmas to one and all!
