that will all depend on how long you have worked for, if you have any other income or savings, if your partner is working if you dont have enough contributions

If you have enough prsi paid you could apply for illness benifit, they dont pay the first 6 days i believe, so it would be after xmas before it is processed and paid
You need to get weekly certs from your gp to send along with the form

If you fell at work then you are ticking the injury benefit boxes on the illness/injury benefit application form and your employer will have to complete some of the form you will have to complete the rest and your GP complete a separate sheet. Then you make sure you’ve signed it and send it all off including the GPs bit to the address on the form. You won’t hear anything this side of Christmas I’m afraid but you’ll get it all back.

You will need to complete the social welfare cert get it from the doctor.

It asks if you were injured during work and you should be ticking yes.

It won't cost the business money unless you bring a injury claim against them. That is a totally separate matter.

Go to your GP and get the cert first thing Monday morning and get it into your local welfare monday.

It won’t cost him any money at all though. The money will come from SW. it will be some time before you go back to work. You’ll need some money.

Contact revenue and make sure everything with them is correct.

Is your gross pay the same as before the illness benefit started ?

Most likely it's because your tax credits have changed but check that out on revenue on line.
If it needs changing give them a call tomorrow and they will explain what's happening.

Check what your tax credits were before you went on IB and what it is now. Will be on pay slips.

The most likely thing is a change in credits but that will be sorted with a call to revenue.

What is the tax credits on payslips pre and post illness benefit .
That's what you need to know and you are most likely on a week one tax basis now compared to cumulative basis before you got illness benefit.

That's what the W on the slip is probably indicating but a call to revenue on Wednesday will sort it.

Ring them ,you will be waiting days to hear back from online enquiry.

Just google it and you will get a number ,its all over their website anyways and there is also a facility to enter your PPSN to get the local revenue office.
