Or Wreckfest if he enjoys crashing. Dangerous Driving is also pretty good for the action side of things, but you need you own music.

The new GRID is supposed to be pretty good too. GT Sport if he wants the realism though.

There’s also Crash Team Racing or Sonic Racing if he likes a more cartoony Mario Kart style of racing game. Probably more fun if he has friends to play with.
