I am thinking about looking at one of these next year ... unfortunately Skoda.ie hasn't the new superb on the site yet and the dealers seem to know very little about the range price wise.

Would anyone be able to hazard a guess at what sort of price this might come in at - it is about stg£40k on the UK site.

Is it going to come in close to the Kodiaq VRS ? topping out at over €60k.

It really ticks all the boxes for me

One example of a car in both markets is the Cupra Ateca which is £38,000 and €50,000 here, the CO2 is 168g on the Ateca and is 182-210g on the Superb so you might want to figure out €50,000 + extra VRT cost as a base line?

I doubt Skoda are going to import them - they are not appearing on the new price list anyway. They hardly sold any of the old model with this engine despite them being circa 45k when they launched and with new CO2 charges the new price could be near to 60k as you say

The nearest option is the 1.5 PHEV which lists at 47350 for Sportline Combi

If you wanted one I’d go to the U.K and get a pre reg old model where they are discounted like crazy and import it

    Super car mind you

it will be a PCP job - so looking at the UK isn't an option. I'll be in with the Skoda dealer in the new year and see what he has to say.

Will Skoda actually offer PCP on that particular variant here? They may not on that model as the unknown but anticipated steep depreciation would make PCP very expensive and unattractive I'd say. Similarly Hyundai didn't offer PCP on the i30N variant here.

OP have you seen the price list - it’s on the Skoda website - thought not on the configurator? It will show full specs but the 272ps is missing - as are all 4x4’s too

They offered PCP on the old model anyway so I’m sure you’ll get it on this too if they are listing the car.

I haven’t looked but VW are now using that engine / drivetrain in the new Passat Estate, might be an option

    Around 52k...based on 2017 pricing.

At the bottom of the homepage there is a line ‘Find our more about Skoda’

Click that and it then shows models and ‘Model Pricelists’

Has all the standard spec and prices there but no options.

Skoda generally update the website configurator months after new models are introduced and a lot of options never make it into the web

A lovely motor no doubt, but why take such a hit on depreciation, unless Skoda are going to give you a GMV?

Ex Demo Superb SPL Combi 150s going for 32k and you'd probably get a healthy deal on that again.

I want a GTI / R and she wants a superb / estate ... marriages are all about compromise !

She won’t go back to a hatchback sized car

Is it the boot that's the issue or the rear leg room? If it's just the boot then an Octavia VRS/Leon ST Cupra would fit the bill.

    Outside of that it's the Passat/Superb 190.

The boot would be the main issue but cabin space also .. 2 kids and 3 dogs

She had an octavia estate before and didn’t really like it .. nowhere near as comfortable as the superb .. curls would be the same space wise.

Golf R Estate it is then ..

The Superb is a great option for you in fairness but maybe the PHEV with 218bhp might be worth a test drive?

Ugly and tiny compared to a superb estate. Golf’s just don’t work in estate looks wise.

SUPERB iV prices start from €40,350, and the cost of paints and delivery charge is about 2k on top of that.

Is that for the PHEV ?

I actually started this thread - I quickly moved away from the idea of the Sportline Superb - considered the PHEV .. and the pricing was in the region of about €45k when I had options ticked.

I then took a BMW 330e PHEV MSport Plus for a test drive and never looked back.

While it is a very difference car to the Superb ... and considerably smaller inside .. at the €45k+ price point the BMW won hands down.

I still have my 2011 Superb Combi on the driveway and I still love that !
