I'm trying to tax a car i just bought, but in the motor tax form it requires me the Expiry date of Last Motor Tax Disc dates Isn't? Or can i just write from any date to the last day of the months i wish to tax to?

Just leave it empty, you only tax from the month you took ownership so dont worry about what happened previously

You mean I should not write from what date to what date, I should just write the expiry month I want to buy, is that correct?

Forget about the expiry date, just fill in the section for "tax disk now required"

Do it online and save the hassle. Check the here to see if ownership has changed then use this to request a new PIN and then tax it.

You tax the car from the date you purchased the car . This is the date that ownership was changed. Write this date as the "From Date".

Dicey as to whether you’d have disc before Christmas

just got mine, 3 days from online to in the letterbox.

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

    4.2 Past Owner Period.

    It's all in Note C4
