MMI works but no radio sound

    Hi guys

Have a 2011 Audi A6. Earlier the radio just went dead mid song, couldn’t get it back on again. It’s not a speaker issue, because the MMI still connects to my phone and can make calls through the speaker. I’ve also tried a reboot of the MMI, which hasn’t solved the problem.

    Anyone have any other ideas?

    Turn up the volume?

Have you got sound from any of the other media devices?

EDIT: Just reread your post. Do a scan and see if the radio is throwing an error.

Pardon my ignorance.. what kind of scan?

He's referring to a VCDS diagnostic scan that can be done by a main dealer or a good independent.

I have a 2010 A6 myself and this happens now and then. A reboot normally solves it but I had to let the car completely power down once to get it back.

If you have an Avant/estate version through check the electronics cubby in the boot. It's a fairly common thing that they can leak water all over the components.

It’s actually fixed itself now, but I’m weary of it happening again.

Wouldn't worry too much. As I said above, I've had it happen maybe 3/4 times in the last few years.

Make sure that you have the latest updates for it. Probably need a main dealer though
