Travelling to Hong Kong

Hi. Almost a year ago, long before any protests happened, my wife and I booked a holiday to Macau, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

The plan is to spend 3 days in Macau, 12 days in Taiwan, and the final 2 nights in Hong Kong. We're flying out on Wednesday and I'm a little nervous about the situation in Hong Kong. We've decided to book a hotel close to the airport in case anything kicks off, then we can just spend the 2 days in the hotel.

Just wondering if anyone has been there recently or has any advice? Thanks

I was there at the end of October. Zero hassle.

I heard a few protests but nothing major.

Thanks a million for the reply. My wife has been following everything closer than I have and she is not concerned. I'm a bit more of a worrier.

The media naturally isn't covering the vast majority of day to day life that isn't affected.

    You'll be fine.

Definitely true, this. Hotel Icon is a fantastic 5 star in TST, and can be got for under €100 a night at the minute.
