Is it better to mount a TV on a concrete wall or are wall studs just as good?

I have the skill level to install an apparatus but no knowledge beyond that.:)

Doesn’t matter..if you put it on the stud wall your best off to find the grounds in the wall and not to trust dry wall fixings. A lot of people cut a square of timber slightly bigger then the bracket ensure this has a couple of screws into the grounds and then screw the bracket to that after your happy with it taking the load of the tv

I've fitted two televisions upstairs in studded walls using GripIt fixtures and one in to an insulated plasterboard covered concrete block wall using RigFix bolts to span past the insulation
I've documented everything in my diy build thread here which contains alot of pictures and space saving ideas you may find of interest

A lot of tv brackets have a long base with multiple hole to ensure you can fix it directly to the wall and still find the vertical stud each side.

    Thank you both.
