That's better than the slap of a wet fish anyway. Enjoy.

There will be more along shortly to tell us they got the equivalent of a Ferrari or something.

    Who really cares.

I get extra hours that I don't particularly want and I'm told it's a bonus.

March. High 4 figures expected. Once you pay tax it fairly kills it but it’s a lovely touch in general.

    €500 voucher.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 71,170 ✭✭✭✭L1011

Last got a company performance related cash bonus in 2007, then they cut the scheme. Got a massive (over 1/6th of total annual salary) once-off personal performance bonus in 2009 - unfortunately that scheme was closed too.

Got a €250 voucher until 2012 then moved job and nothing since then. All private sector jobs.

The boss let all the copper build up for a couple of weeks. We normally scrap it more regularly. He then gave us all 100 each from this money which would have been ours anyway.

He shook our hands and said, it was a good year, fair play to us as he gave it out. Would be funny if it wasn’t so depressing. He then asked us to go for a few pints seeing as we had the few quid.

We all had stuff to do though so couldn’t go.

So what you're saying is that your bonus is paid throughout the year, not just at Christmas

Knowledge that the company has enough cash to provide for staff and suppliers for the coming year is a gift enough.

    Get an 80e voucher ,
    A week's wage,
And a cock up the arse from the tax man.

And a cock up the arse from the tax man.

It's a pity it's not a turkey, it would have more of a traditional feel to it.

I get paid by the HSE, so no bonus. Use to work in the private sector back in the day, nice bonuses at Xmas. Recession hit, no job, no bonus. I'm too old for that to happen now so I'm happy enough, wouldn't mind a pay increase though.

I don't begrudge people on social welfare getting a double week. What a **** existence.
