    Do I need to do theory test and structured lessons and can I drive on my own with an L Plate?

    I’m assuming u have full car licence you want bike licence so you’ll have to do theory test, get provisional and do IBT and have provisional for min 6 months b4 u sit bike test.. FYI if ur over 23 make sure you go for unrestricted A licence once you’ve passed theory test

    If you did your theory test before (October I think) 2006 then you’ll have already done the motorcycle theory test, if not then you must do it.

    Yes - it's illegal to carry a passenger when on a learner permit.
