Why is nobody mentioning his drop off of sponsorship as the main reason the FAI is flicked?

We all know Delaney is corrupt. Hell we knew his family were

But to ignore the big guys sudden departure as not significant is a fallacy on the media's part

This story just depresses me. Makes you wonder whats really going in all other corners of society. I never liked Delaney or his smugness but this is the tip of a very rotten iceberg. Fair play to Shane Ross btw who went after these lads.

Delaney should be off to prison, but knowing this country, not a chance.

Sometimes the corruption in Ireland is like a log or stone in the forest. You pick it up and see all these little insects scurrying for cover. That's how it is with most things here only either the stones and logs are known not to be moved or nobody listens when they are. As Sugarman mentioned, the ball only got rolling because of determined journalists.

Problem is, did Delaney actually do anything criminal?

People who wear a suit and speak in an educated manner don't commit crimes in this country, didn't you hear?

Christ on a bike, lads! Denis O'Brien isn't going to sue you just for indicating he gave money into the FAI.

A certain fellah once bribed a certain corrupt minister in order to be awarded a licence which proved to be the basis on which this certain fellah would amass a vast fortune from various business dealings. The certain fellah concerned is certainly not John Delaney.
