Hi, have asked this via email with the intreo office, but was told to contact another person. Have left them a message and waiting to hear back. My question is if I return to work on a friday after being let go from previous employer 6 weeks ago, would I still get 4 days JSB the wednesday after starting new job?

Answer is nope, which is a bit unfair

I thought JSB was paid Wednesday to Tuesday which would mean youd only be due money for Wed and Thur if you start work on Friday.

Nope was told today, once work is started. Payments are stopped. Doesn't sound fair as you need to be unemployed for so many days before payment. Would have been better off staying with JSB and claiming tax back after 8 weeks and not struggling over the most expensive time of year. Contemplating weather to no go ahead with job and wait till after Christmas

When I started my last job (after being made redundant) I got paid a coupla days from the previous week, think it was for a coupla days pay so think whoever you spoke to was wrong - assume you gave them the start date and didn't just go in and sign off that day.

Will go in on wed and see if any payment there. No harm in checking

Whatever days you were unemployed for you will get. The days you are working you can’t get JS for those days.

That's what I would've thought, but was told nope by 2 different people there. Going to check on wednesday and see if anythings there. No harm

I think theres a possibility you may have misunderstood what they said. You would definitely not get four days but you would get two.
