    What have you lost?
    What have you loved?
What have are you most proud of?
    And what have you learned?

Discriminatory comment, assuming OP has balls. Kermit must be punished.

    Wait, do frogs have balls?

Lost: Some hair and some of the colour in my hair. Sadly no weight.
    Loved: Family.
Proud of: Volunteer work for a local charity.
Learned: The rat race still ends in the grave so don't make it the only thing you do.

So either there was a year zero or the first decade was only 9 years, which is it....

The 10s is the decade from 2010 to 2019, because decades are defined by the penultimate digit.

The 21st century will end on 31/12/2100 because in that case, we're grouping centuries from the first year AD (i.e. 1-100)

The 202nd decade will end on 31/12/2020. But that's not how we count decades.

1980 was not in the seventies - there's a huge hint in the name.

About 2 stone weight, some hair and not much else thankfully.

My two daughters who arrived in 2010 and 2012.

    My daughters.

I’ve learned to quit worrying about the little things and to enjoy life.

is it though, the "sixties" in popular reference actually refers to 64-72...

It'd have been easier to quietly admit you were wrong, but if you want to start arguing that the decade now ends on 31/12/22, then I guess I'll just leave you to it.

There's really not much more I can add to the above mathematical proof, other than to confirm that you want to think you're a lot smarter than you really are.

Lost: The ability the never believe in myself

Loved: Every minute of being with my friends and family

Proud: Of turning around my life, career, getting my masters degree and kicking drug addiction

    Learned: To forgive people

I have lost my keys. :)

    I have loved YOU. :)

I am most proud of me.

    I have learnt nothing.

I lost: the will to live when I saw the inevitable "well actually, the decade doesn't end until..." comments.

we are currently in the first year of this decade so a little confused about the point of the thread?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,101 ✭✭✭randd1

    What have you lost?
    My youth.
    My thinner waistline.
The freedom to just go anywhere without needing a days planning in advance (bloody children).

    What have you loved?
    Herself.
    The kids.
    The dogs.
The first sip of a ice cold beer on a warm day after the little feckers are gone to bed.
And the hurling, a savage decade of epic games.

What have are you most proud of?
The occasional time I'm right and she's wrong and I get to do a little dance to rub it in her face. She being a woman, I'm going to suffer for it either way, so I may as well get what I can out of it.

    And what have you learned?
The importance of a good nights sleep.
The joy in having an hour to yourself.
Rub a bit of salt & pepper on each side of a steak, and leave it on a plate in the microwave for at least 4 hours before cooking.
