Does anyone have a 2014/2013 Sandero. If so would you buy it again? How are they holding up as they head for their 6th and 7th years?

How about Dacia cars in general?

My sister has a 2017 Sandero Stepway and its actually a lot better than I thought it would be. Its the 1.5 diesel as she does a lot of driving on motorways. I honestly thought the bodyroll in it woud be terrible but it is not bad at all, it is quiet and rides very good like old french cars used to. So far reliability wise it has been faultless.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Probably makes sense as the Dacia range are generally recycled from the old Renault repertoire which makes them highly profitable for Renault. Not my cup of tea as I like cars but if you don't care about cars and want reliable, cheap A to B motoring they are spot on. They are substantially cheaper than the competition and not a huge compromise in terms of equipment or ability really.

Considering Renault were selling new Clios for €8995 in 2012, and now they’re €17,000, I would say margins aren’t huge on Dacias. I know the dealers make very little on them.
Yes, most of the cost of a new car is development, but considering how much platform and component sharing is going on, these costs are spread across a huge number of models and marques.

That is inflation right there. Some inflation that.

They were buying market share at the time. Cars weren’t really selling here at the time.

It just occurred to me that this was a scrappage deal, as in the €1500 government thing.

That was a great deal in retrospect- great car for the money! Renault always seem pretty profitable as a company

That was the run out year of that model but that still seems incredibly cheap
