Is it OK not to drive to the test centre yourself?

    Just that really...

Was going to have my sponsor drive down and me as a passenger.

Why wouldn't you drive yourself down?

Yes, as long as you drive during your test you'll be fine. You could fly a helicopter to the test centre if you wanted.

It's fine. I drove to the test centre on my motorbike, met my father there with his van, and did the test. Then got back on the bike and drove home.

    No problem at all .
The test doesn't commence until the tester calls your name .

I seen two people drive to a test on they own while my son was taking his test , thought they were chances at time but it didn't seem to bother the testers or they didn't notice, so definitely ok to go with your sponsor and you driving to get abit of practice in.

Absolutely fine, test only starts when it starts. I used a licenced driver/instructor on my (3!) attempts as it gave me some time to get used to driving on the day, but that might not be a concern for yourself.

Congrats. I’d say drive yourself if possible gives you some nice practice on the way. I just drove myself, didn’t have or know a qualified driver. im told the testers turn a blind eye to it anyway. i passed first time.

Sure they only meet you for the first time in the waiting room, so can't know how you got there, really!

I drove to it and put the L plates on in the car park.
None of their business until the test starts.
