Makes no sense to buy or drive something like that.
Stupendous depreciation as you say, and insane tax and insurance.

It's also a ridiculous size. Nightmare to drive in an urban area or maneuver around a tight car park.
Reminds me of the american style "full size" cars.

Tax is only 390 per year and no extra loading in insurance worth talking about! I drive the same size Car and don't have a bother parking but avoid certain multi story's as it don't fit too good! I still wouldn't buy it though for another 10 year's..

Expensive cars suffering heavy depreciation is not a new concept.

This one has dropped 80k in 2 years with very little use:

"AMBIENT INTERIOR LIGHTING PACK WITH 64 INDIVIDUAL COLOUR SETTINGS"

Yeah, you clearly have not lived a full life until you have sacrificed €80k for the sake of this sort of gibberish gimmick. A fool and their money.....

I doubt somebody buys a V8 petrol for the ambient lighting.

If you're buying a new 7 series 400 quid tax isn't a worry to you. And the insurance is probably less than a ten year old Accord. There are plenty of reasons to drive such a nice car if one can afford it.

Where's the extra £9005 coming from?

Last year they discounted the 6 series down to near 4 series money from.new over there, BMW UK seem to have no problem doing it unlike over here, for any brand

Read the small print, includes £10k deposit contribution from bmw financial services

That would be a much better but IMO. Probably cheaper once VRT included.
