Heating Controls Upgrade (and the grant)

    Hi,

    First of all excuse my lack of knowledge on the topic. It's all new to me.

    So the SEAI are offering a €700 grant for upgrading your heating controls. I'm assuming it's the Smart Controls like Climote and TRVs..etc.

    Has anyone recently opted for these upgrades in recent years? If so..
    1. What was installed?
    2. Does it have to be a new heating system or can it be retro-fitted?
    3. How much did it cost after the grant?

    We're currently getting our Cavity and Attic insulated and if we opt for a third upgrade the SEAI are offering an additional €300 grant. It's just something that got me thinking, especially if it increases or BER Rating at little or no extra cost.

    bump for exactly the same question. Have gotten 2 grants from SEAi and wondering what i could get for the heating controls for best value
