Right Wing Grifters

So in another thread I keep seeing people posting content from these right wing sources that are such obvious grifters, there to cash in.
The king of them was of course Alex Jones who lead the way with fake news and fake controversies in order to sell junk like vitamin pills to people. There are now loads of them, his protege Paul Joseph Watson for example. There is a whole mini industry out there. All they do is spread what they think their audience wants to hear and they lap it up. No lie or exaggeration is too much. They will still get the clicks, likes and sales. Have asked before but not seeing similar behaviour on the left.

Why are such obvious frauds and misinformation so popular with right wingers?
Why aren't they calling them out themselves?

The right are generally older than the left, and old people are easy targets.

The dumb like to be told what to think, so probably find it easier to follow the one who has all the answers, rather than questions said answers.

OP, how dare you besmirch the good name of Alexander Emric Jones.

This man has done more for comedy than anyone else in the past decade.

If you can't see similar behaviour on the left its probably because you listen to the other extreme left .

Generally each side only get annoyed by the other side, you have to be on one of the extreme ends to get annoyed by the other imo just like you are now.

Could you name some left wing grifters for me then please?
Who is the left wing Alex Jones?

I'm not into that influencer stuff to be going searching names for you, ying and yang its how life works.

If theres people preaching on the right different stuff that people want to hear then there is obviously people on the left preaching what you want to hear. Its all about the money, and you would be naive to think there is not people on the left capitalizing on the same premise.

Gas how we're seeing Irish people trying to emulate the con. Dole scroungers like black and tan Torino constantly with the begging bowl out, waving it in front of the guillible racists.

Just asking someone to name some of them then.
No one seems able to though.

Does seem to be a right wing thing.

Its probably less sociably acceptable to name the ones on the left, again the fact that you are determined to try to prove the right to be more extreme than the left highlights your extreme left position.

When you find the balance in the middle you will realise both sides are very similiar just put upon people struggling with ****ty lives, needing to blame someone.Crap pay crap hours usually makes up the left like you, more often than not the ones listening to the right will encompass the poorest members of society.

The right and left both have grifters trying to cash in on crazy and polarizing opinion. It all revolves around the twitter sphere supported by youtube as the vehicle for going on the attack.

Some of the folk on the left cashing in on this would be the young turks, Anita Sarkeesean to start with. I am sure folk who watch them more would know who else gets up to it.

A big thing with the left leaning individuals in America is that they have integrated heavily into mainstream media so don't need to likes of youtube ect as platforms.

Any of the Irish "woke twitterati". It's noteworthy how many of them had failed careers as writers, actors or musicians before jumping on that particular bandwagon and then receiving grants, appearance and talk fees, having articles published etc.

Rachel Maddow is a prime example of a left wing grifter.

A horrible, smug individual who will never admit to being wrong because of course she has the high moral ground and the "correct" opinions.

We have some home grown examples, like Rose-Mary McCabe or Una Mulally who have built or in the case of McCabe tried to build a career on the men bad approach.

Another American one that comes to mind is Zoe Quinn.

We could go on all day listing them out but i feel that's counter productive. As i said there are crazy people on both sides who milk the system.

Its not good to watch or keep subscribed to these people long term, they turn the world into a very horrible place driven by an us versus them attitude.

A head of state who would jump ship early to move onto the next self-aggrandising do-gooder position; or who would as an alleged socialist, attempt to gain a 2 million euro personal tax credit on the back of her archive...

The doyenne of right-on qualifies as a grifter, surely ?

Really? Any big names in the US MSM who advocate nationalisation of industry, advocate the creation of a US national health service, advocate breaking up the mega-corporations, advocate taxes on wealth, advocate free third level education, advocate a green new deal?

Not exactly i never said it was a big name either but allot of the big name websites normally have click bait articles that drive rage clicks and feed into a certain demographic.

If you are thinking there isn't an extreme left wing churning out the same rubbish it's probably because you are on the extreme left and you think it's moderate. Main stream media is hard left.

Also, really glad to not know a single name mentioned in this thread

Don't know much about McCabe but Una Mullany seems to be at least expressing her genuine position or opinions on things.

Depends on your political beliefs i suppose, she was one of the earlier people to build their brand on a platform of driving division.

I am sure there are at least Paul Watson supporters who think he has a genuine position or opinion on things.

What makes them different from you?
