Why can she not be now a self employed contractor and retake the role?

They could have just played the interview from Joe Duffy on the radio. It is practically word for word.

Why did they not boo Blathnaid? Lax crew in studio tonight, she is painful.

The retirement age should be 40 cause I hate the thought of having to work for 43 more years

Maybe she could present “The Mary Kennedy Show” as a contractor.

Most of us never listen to Joe Duffy (and have no regrets)

Mary looks absolutely fantastic and seems like a lovely lady - Nationwide is actually a very good show, a pity she has to leave.

Fair play to Mary for getting out there and letting it be known that she is still available for work

You have to hustle and knock on doors to stay in the public eye

Well done Mary- one of the best- and RTÉ are putting you out to pasture because there are numb-nuts running the organisation.

    You’re better than that!!!

Take care Mary, looking forward to seeing you on independent TV in the future. :)

BTionwide is one of the few feel-good shows which I love to wast have, and I’ve had endless inspiration from it to do things and visit places. One of them being handling a hovercraft, which I loved!

Don't think she can claim state pension until 66 and she will find it near impossible to get a job at 65.

Sorry . It was on Sean O.' Rourke radio show that Mary was on.

Is there not an RTE pension?
I’d say anybody would be more than, more than pleased to take on Mary an an employee, what a treasure!

She would get bits and pieces of media work as a contractor easily

Present the Leitrim Person of the Year one night, do a few nights cover on The Six O Clock Show, do an advert for Funeral Planning, it'll all add up

Yes there would be but she would be entitled to the state pension too.

I don't think people touching your hair without asking would be in the top ten billion of things that need to be sorted out in the world right now

But it would be in her world. She can't solve climate change, Brexit, human trafficking, homelessness etc.

She is only on the Rte payroll for 16 years. Prior to that she was a contractor. So she doesn't have what she described as " a full pension"

Is this show finished at Christmas?

That would leave him with 3 or 4 more shows left
