    Hi guys

Putting in a range in the coming days and want to put cladding on the wall around it.

Just wondering if anyone has done this and need advice

What kind of adhesive is best to use for heat resistant

    Thanks

Can you post a pic of the opening?

During our renovations, we opened up the fireplace to about 1.1 high and 0.8m wide. Sat a boiler stove in there. I was also at a loss as to what to clad inside and around. In the end we went with a tile that had a stonewalled affect and came out nice. Very cost effective as well.

    Very similar to this:

And then large black tile for the base. Way handier than a granite slab etc.

Thanks for your reply sorry not at home at the minute but it was where a range was before but blocked up the openings and dry walled it.
We are taking down the drywall and putting in a Stanley errigal.

Those are very nice tiles with a nice price. Will definitely have to look into them.
Did you use MultiElastic adhesive to stick the tiles to the wall

It was just normal tile adhesive if I recall correctly.
I was also at a loss as to how to do the mantel so I went and got the fake sleepers in building suppliers and cut ti size and sanded them then stained.

I'm in phone here and have attached a pic, hopefully it will attach correctly. In the pic, you'll see how its tiled out about 6-8in on the edge of the chimney breast.

All in, I think it cost less than 200e
