Luxury holiday ideas?

Hi guys, anyone have any tips for a luxury style summer holiday, like a honeymoon type place, with spa, all inclusive?

Was thinking the likes of Cancun for next Summer or Bali but not 100% sure.

We want to splurge on somewhere really nice for a week or two, and quite far away.

If you can give me some advice on what worked for you, from Dublin airport ideally, don't mind how long it takes to get there.

Also price range, would be looking at a total spend about €3-€3.5k
No kids, just the two of us

    Thanks!

Maldives and Seychelles would suit the bill though research the wet seasons. Caribbean has lots of luxury resorts but it would be out for summer as the hurricane season runs June to November.

Fair enough. Just had a look at the Budget, it was that for a week for myself.

    Really is luxury though.

I flew into Cancun to stay at Playa del carmen in an all inclusive. It was nice but maybe a slight stretch to say luxury as cocktails were made from syrups rather than fruit - but I'd a great time. Did tourist stuff only one day (snorkel with turtles, visited a ruins site), and ventured into the city too. But most of the time I was drinking by the pool or beach. Entertainment was just average and the music by the pool was like one of those "That's what i call music" CDs. The travel time was quite long due to a 3 hour stopover in London and of course the transatlantic flight.
€3.5k would get you flights and a week all-inclusive. You'll probably get more bang for your buck in asia though I'd imagine the higher end of the market will be expensive no matter where you go.

Cancun would be very hot & humid in the summer

    What about Santorini?

I loved it. Might look at a return visit next year.

Cruise is a great idea, hoping to go on our third next year... you do as little or as much as you are in the mood for, new city and or country every day... food is unreal, they have multiple gyms, cinemas, bars, restaurants, shopping, classes and loads of social things... plus a new city or town everyday to experience and enjoy...
