I handed in my form B on the day I did my interview, February 2019
The only thing I can think of is that I’ve lived abroad a lot so the have to check with those countries if I ever got in trouble whilst away. Call them anytime, they’ll have all your information right in front of them and be able to tell you where you’re at
Crazy. Your a patient man.
Very Resilient 😂😂 starting to loose it though! If it doesn’t happen in 2021 I’ll just have to reevaluate everything, waiting almost 4 years with no answers is a bit of a joke
Madness in fairness, good on you for sticking with it though.
Yeah they will have to probs check with everywhere you lived that’s probably the hold up I never lives abroad and never had any trouble and neither has any of my family so hopeing mine is quick enough best of luck with it :)
My OOM was 75 from 2019 campaign. I've everything completed and my file is with Senior Management for final checks awhile now.
I just spoke with HR this morning and all they could tell me was they 'hope candidates will get a months notice before the next intake, but that isn't always possible' So none the wiser and the wait continues!
I have a call myself this morning I’m from 2019 campaign aswell I done my medical last week they told me the vetting is done once they receive the last documents from the garda doctor the file will be sent to management for the final check hopefully we get this September
Anyone know when the next intake is ? It’s September is it ?
has anyone on here ever had their file sent to senior management / commissioner's office for a review? If so, how long did it take? I can't complete my medical until my file has returned to HR and they keep saying that they have no timeline for it. Thanks in advance
You are in the exact same timeline / stage as me. I would say if your vetting is completed hopefully you’ll get a call for September.
Career / finance question. Once attested - how do Garda fair when it comes to mortgage approval ? Does the Garda credit union offer mortgage. I have heard there is preferred mortgage rates if you’re a Garda.
Oh great yes hopefully I called HR this morning just to see what was going on I only finnished my medical a week ago but they said the vetting came back perfect so once they receive the last docs from the doctor it will be passed for final review to management so that’s it hopefully September
The most frustrating part about the 2019 applicants is, if COVID didn’t happen, most of us would have completed the best part of our training now.
Exactly we basically waited an extra 12 months hopefully will be this September anyway all going well they usually give 4 weeks notice so could be anytime now
How did fitness go today
Grand most of the 9am group passed I believe.
Did they say when your medicals are
Was just told to wait for an email, but think could be this week coming as they need 150 people for the September recruit.
Have my medical done 3 weeks my vetting is done when I rang just on final checks you think I could be in a chance for September?
Ah definitely I'd say there's 150 meant to be going in September then future 75 in November.
Good ye here hopefully September now I think they try give 4 weeks notice ?
Also for the medical it’s split into 2 parts so you will have first part then have to go back a week later for second because of Covid
Not sure what notice they give now to be honest, at this stage I wouldn't care, best thing to do is warn the boss that it's possible you'll be called in on sort notice just to have yourself covered.
Yeah true if it’s September hopefully in the next comming weeks hopefully fingers crossed 🤞
Speaking to one of the Sargent’s down in templemore on Saturday after I completed my fitness test and he was saying that the next intake will probably be either October or December. . . Hopefully we do hear from them earlier but he said some trainees from previous intakes are heading back down to the college either this week or next.
Ah no does that mean there is no September intake I heard there takeing on about 150 in September
He said nothing about an intake in September to me and he didn’t say how many they’re taking in . . .
By the looks of it no one actually knows what's going on, that was their goal for this year to have 450 new recruits. Hence the high number for September.
True there was suspose to be a intake in September unless that’s off the cards now
