If someone wanted to work one or two shifts a week and was on disability allowance , do they need to get the okay from the doctor and then inform disability allowance section ? Is there a certain form to fill out ?

    Thanks

Nope I just rang the DA office in Longford, they asked me to send them my first two payslips and they reduced my payment accordingly.

I thought you're able to earn up to 427 per week on top of your DA though?

    €120 without it being reduced.

No you can earn 120 before your DA is reduced.
It starts reducing then pro rata and at 427 it would be totally gone.

And that's only if the work is deemed to be of a rehabilitative nature - although I'm not sure what criteria they use to determine that.

All work is now considered rehabilitative this last few years.

Does work affect adult dependant. If the person on DA earns 100 euro a week adult dependant not working do you still get adult dependant full rate ?

If you start work then it doesn’t matter how much your earning you have to inform DA and send them a payslip.
If you are earning 100 per week then it will not affect your payment at all including the amount you get for your dependent.
