Domestic advertising

    Hi all

My home is located in a busy thoroughfare in Dublin and I am investigating the possibility of capitalising on this with road-side advertising in my front yard.

The advertisement space would be hired by local business.

Would anyone know where I stand legally on doing something like this?

I was thinking I could potentially use a small trailer based signage (advert on wheels) that would then make a non-permanent fixture.

    Thanks

Technically this would be a planning issue as the sign is visible to the public, outside your site. You could agree to advertise something, take the money, then get enforcement from the LA and be left refunding the business their €€€€€. Could end up being a bit embarrassing...:D

Don't be surprised if it was a neighbour who was the one to inform the LA enforcement section..... Not a good look for a neighbourhood.

    Planning permission required to this.
