Involuntary Strike Off Consequences

What are the actual ramifications of this?

Long story short, I set up a company as I was starting out as an IT contractor and was advised to register as a PLC. Given all the paperwork required for accounts etc. I just registered as the director of an umbrella company instead. So the PLC has never traded but is still registered.

Will this just be struck off and go into a graveyard of similar companies, or will there be legal consequences to being struck off involuntarily?
