I note the extension is only until 6pm?!

It is still not working, they could have pushed it to midnight!

Never leave it till the last minute!

A veteran of ROS filings for the last 18 years here and I learned my lesson. Hope it all works out, and to be fair to Revenue, they will not penalise anyone if the downtime is at their end.

We've never relied on the extra November days. The calendar here continues with 31 October as the filing deadline. Yes there will be payment dates set to the extended date where applicable but we always aim (& mostly succeed) to get the returns in by 31/10.

What will be interesting next year is the absence of P35s in Jan/Feb. Time to start Googling winter sun !

About time Revenue put some thought into smoothing the workflow on ROS. Menu structure and forms about as clunky as 18 years ago! Lot of people still manually entering all their returns on ROS.

Well to be honest I am no accountant at all, I was just filing for my (now late) mother who had a house rented to help pay for her care and the income exceeded the F12 rules.

I do realise that many of you have much more complex filings, but for an amateur like me I have to say it was easy peasy, especially since they pre filled the items like tax credits and so on. Never a bother really.

I always remember someone saying to me "get it filed on time" that is crucial, so I didn't end up on their system as a non filer.

Got to hand it to them, Revenue are one Department that is very efficient. IMV of course!
