    Hi all,

Taxation is not my strong point, I'm trying to get through to revenue via the phone to no avail, can anyone tell me how I tell Revenue I am married 10 years wish to be jointly assessed.(backdated if possible)

Does it have to be done via phone, email or on myrevene and what do I need to submit.

Form above - not sure can this be done through my account.

If you do it before end of December you can claim 2015-2018 - if you leave it until Jan you can only do 2016 onwards.

I only recently updated my status with Revenue. I married in 2014 and notified Revenue online in last few months. This was back-dated to 2015 as I was too late to claim any refunds for 2014. You basically confirm through your own account the date you married and then your spouse needs to login to their account and confirm the details you entered are correct. I was entitled to a refund and the P21s were raised, with the money transferred to my account within two weeks.
