    So need a little help...

Job i'm looking at applying for is asking for a "Letter of Introduction".

What in the name of god is that? I mean the application process as had me fill out of a whole lot o stuff already. So what else can i include?

Sorry it may a stupid question, but i'm moving into different style of industry/job after 12 years so this kind of application process is very new...

The CVs I receive are in standard form with details about education, qualifications and experience etc. They are often accompanied by a single page letter in which the applicant introduces themselves, and outlines why they are applying for the position and what benefits they would bring to the workplace.

Please make sure it is written correctly, spelling is right, grammar etc. Many CVs are made using templates, the letter is written by you, if the letter is badly written, the whole lot will often be tossed before the CV is even viewed.

I have seen it called this before in the Netherlands. Letter of Introduction / Motivation Letter / Cover Letter.

Yes I'd interpret it as a cover letter.

    Dear Sir/Madam

I would like to apply for X as advertised on Y.

I have Z years experience working as whatever, including some other interesting detail. Mention something else here as you're trying to sell yourself.

I have a degree in W and like to stay up to date on this topic by reading a, b, c.

I would greatly appreciate an opportunity to discuss this role with you. I am available for interview on these dates.

    Yours sincerely
