Hi there, I would like to enquire has anyone had a voice of the child report done & presented to the judge? I am doing this as we speak as I had to stop access due to child protection issues that came up, i was advised by my solicitor to do so and because m kids were afraid to go. I have text msgs etc as proof. the access is court ordered, so I know I am in breech but I needed to act in the best interest of my children. This is the first time i've ever breeched an order and i'm more trying to understand what is behind the report and how it works? if anyone has any insight, that would be great.

Yes, but it all depends on the judge to be honest. Some judges listen to the child, others demand orders are met . I know of a case where the child's voice was listened to by a court reporter and access was stopped. Beware of mediation and if there has ever been domestic violence make sure and express that to anyone who will listen . Mediation can be manipulated by the perpetrator.

    Best of luck

Thank you for your answer. I have met with the psychologist who is drafting the report and have provided a lot of details, that have come from the kids themselves & it is very concerning, but I know what you mean. At the end of the day, I am not trying to stop any access I just want my kids to be in a safe environment. Thank you so much for your reply.

Hi there, just an update on this, so looks like the report was made available and we are waiting for a new court date to return. the recommendations by the psychologist are basically saying that access should be returned similar to previous arrangements with some tweeks. even though i had concerns and they were valid. I'm confused to be honest as to why the whole rigmarole, now i understand there is a more detailed report that goes to the judge and it's extensive so the judge will have a lot more content that my solicitor would. so, bottom line is... its stands with the judge whether he takes the recommendations or not!?
