I saw the case officer because i wanted refered to employment response. She referred me and advised me to apply for da and stay on jsa. I didnt notify them again or anything when i actually applied. When my da came through it was back dated three and a half months and social welfare coordinated between departments to calculate if i was due any arrears by taking away jsa i had been paid during the time from the da payment. I was due a small amount as i was over the limit for means for jsa so i had been on a reduced payment.

I would say, just apply and do nothing else, let the different departments sort it out between them. Da section will automatically check to see if you were on another payment when calculating back pay.

Just to add one more thing I went to a school where most of the pupils had special needs or difficulties with learning when I put in my application for disability allowance do i need to get a copy of my school records or something to show I attended a special school?

    You shouldn't no ..

It's your medical evidence is the main thing they are looking for ,

What way would or does the medical assess for learning disability? The reason I mentioned my old school records is they'd probably show I had learning difficulties. I figured itd help putting in the application.

You must proof that your learning disabiltity prevents you from doing any work.
