    Hi,

I have just weighed my weanling bullocks 10-11 months old.

    What are these weights like.

Calves were fed 1 bag of milk replacer,
Given 1 kg meal up until mid April
    nothing but grass all summer
back on about .85kgs of meal for the past 4 weeks.

    Average weights for
    AAX 266kg
    HEX 264kg
    FR 245kg

    Thanks

Work out their ADG by getting how many days old they are on date of weighing. Subtract 40-45kg (birth weight) from the weight and then divide it by how many days old they are. Anything around 0.7 to 0.8kg/day is good. Higher is excellent and below 0.6kg/day would be below average for an early born calf.
