Hi. My wife's drives a Nissan almera 2004 1.5 hatchback . In the last month or so its started sputtering in the morning. It would start fine and then a few minutes later it would start sputtering and cut out while driving . This would happen few times then it would clear itself out and woud be fine for the day. I took it to mechanic. He didn't really look it over. He just said put some dipetane into petrol tank. Tried that but still same problem. Started to cos problems starting lately but if I run it for ten to 15 minutes before taking out of driveway it seems to be ok for most of day. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

I'd imagine this could be due to many things, but mine was doing this last week, water was found in two spark plug chambers, it's sorted now. Been told dodgy ignition coils can cause similar problems
