Switching energy provider

Hi guys.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a duel fuel switch from Electric Ireland to Energia.

I have night meter and approx predicted annual usage of
4000 day elec
3000 night elec (hope to better these ratios closer to 50/50)
Average gas usage

Energia (ex vat) are 0.1424 and 0.0682.

Are there any hidden (non bonkers/switcher) better deals out there - e.g. Just Energy deal last year?

I have very similar use to you, (gas a bit below average, electricity above average) - I switched about 5-6 weeks ago and ended up with Flogas for gas and Bord Gais for electricity

I switched to Energia this week too, their night rate was the lowest I could find.

One big switch have a dual switcher deal to Energia which includes a few goodies (+ Netatmo Smart Thermostat RRP €329 + Amazon Echo Show 5 RRP €86 + Amazon Echo Dot RRP €55). Rates look a bit more expensive than you're getting, though not sure if the goodies are useful to you, or if they make it a better deal for the year. FYI, typically those thermostats are only available to single zone houses. Tis in terms and conditions.

Last year I got 2 cash back offers. 1 for gas, 1 for electric. Twas more cashback than going dual with 1 company.

This year i'm with Flogas and Electric Ireland, though I didn't have an EV when I chose my energy provider.

Switch to Energia is saving me €300 on my annual bill. It was the best deal I could find with no gimmicks. Also I spread the payments to even monthly payments based on my last years usage (with no prediction it would change much) and I should end up with a couple of hundred overpaid or even in the worst case scenario.

Thanks for the info! I already have Nest (free frome Electric Ireland) and Amazon echo devices so that particular deal doesn't really interest me. It might very well be great for someone else though. Cheers.
