Don't see a thread on this...watched episode one...not totally ok board with it...the variable accents and bad special effects not helping... I would expect more from that writer.

Have it recorded was going to watch it over weekend. The trailer and promos looked decent.
A little disappointed to hear it wasn’t great.

    It's not terrible.
But the accents and the special effects take you out of it.

Sarah Lancashire is a brilliant actress so hopefully it improves...

I was really looking forward to this because there's a great cast and writer but I was disappointed. The accents are quite hard to understand, Sarah lancashire in particular I found hard to hear and theres something about her character I really dislike.
I'll probably watch the series because it's only 4 episodes but I hope it improves.

I have watched episode 2 it's not what I was expecting but it is all the better for it.
The Sarah Lancashire and her husband's story line is outstanding imo

Yep, but beaten hands down (no pun intended) by the scene with your woman from the building company and her assistant in her bedroom in EP 3. Had zero relevance to the story and was quite uncomfortable to watch TBH
