Making a Statement

I was involved in an incident this morning, between one thing and another I won't be able to make a statement in the Garda station until next Friday. Is it acceptable to type up a statement now and read that out on the day as my statement re the incident?

If you are the accussed get a solicitor.

If you are a witness that is fine.

Yes you can do that and if it is impossible for you to get in they will sometimes actually come out to you if it were to suit better(obviously depending on guard).

Be truthful and obviously if it's something very serious and as above you are at fault then seek professional advice.

I'm the complainant in this case, I'm away for six days from tomorrow and the Garda I was dealing with is off until Friday of next week. I've typed up my version so will bring that in with me on the day.

    Thanks for the help.

I was the complainant in an incident with a customer where I work.
The Garda came to my workplace to take a report from me weeks later.
