TV wont pick up satellite?

    Wondering if anyone can help. Bought a new lgtv 2019 version it's got a satellite connection on the back which iv connected to a sky dish with one of the two cables that's coming off it into the living room. Iv auto tuned it now a couple times but it picks up no channels . Do I need a separate box to get freeview channels or what's the deal here ? Any help much appreciated. Thanks

    Sounds like the cables might be damaged or settings on the TV. Make sure you select UK for programming and Freesat. Let it scan then

    I have a 2018 model and if you pick Ireland, it won't do the Freesat EPG (but you can choose Astra 28.2) and let it add everything and filter manually.

    If you want Saorview as well, the UK settings will allow that too by doing a Terrestrial scan.

    1 If it was originally a Sky Q setup you might have to change the LNB on the dish.
    2 Are you sure it was set for Sky and not foreign satellites?

    I had to change it to astra 28 satellite. Epg still not working I'll try changing it to use if that works. Thanks for replies
