I was speaking to SDCC and was told in order to dish a footpath a building contractor must be registered for the road opening licence.
Anyone around here know on how to find a contractor which is licenced to carry out those works?

Why not just get SDCC to do the dishing?
It’s usually cheaper and quicker to let the LA do it.

I was hoping that would be the case (North Dublin Council does) but unfortunately they changed the procedure and make it much more difficult.

Any civils contractor with adequate employers liability and public liability insurance under the direction of your engineer would be acceptable.

Anyone got any one they can recommend having used them before?
