    I see you need to send your old license and something with your prsi number when reapplying - a bit excessive isn't it. What happens if I get stopped by gardai when I have sent my old license in application and have no another one) . Also why should some clerical officer see my tax credits (only thing I have as proof of prsi number)

    They need your public services card and your old licence. They don't need your prsi number.

    They give you a slip to say you've renewed your license if you get stopped by the gardai you show them that

    They need prove of your prsi number aswell as your old license - this paper slip is irrelevant when posting your application cheers anyway
