I got the reversing light message last week on my c220 so I went to motor factors for a new bulb and this didn’t work either, the fella fitting the bulb checked it on the other side just to make sure the bulb was okay, we tried various things with lights on lights off etc but no joy
Does anyone have any ideas or is it too random of a problem
    Thanks in advance

Check the wiring between the boot door and the car.
Check the negative of the bulb holder for continuity to ground.
