    If someone makes a compensation claim for whiplash after being involved in a car crash, approximately how long after the crash will they be paid compensation?

    Making a claim is no guarantee that there will be a payment made at all.

    Assuming liability is not in dispute and medical evidence is clear and concise, you are looking at a minimum of a year, more if either party cannot agree the level of compensation

    And it's not unusual for claims to go on for three or four years either.
