Audi ECU swap

    I am looking to use a remapped ECU in my A6 C5 awx
    I can get a ECU from a same engined VW Passat awx of the same year car
    The numbers are the same except for the last 2 letters
    Are all the awx ECU s interchangeable or are they specifically coded?
    Any advice appreciated
