    Hi ...

My engine light was flashing on my hyundai i40 and now it's on all time...

The car is driving 100% but I suspect its something to do with the locks as sometimes I press fob and the locks wont open or lock ... I changed batterys and both fobs exactly same ...

If I take out batterys and put back in it works ok . And if I lock and unlock car a few times the engine light will go off for a few days ....

Most of the time the locks work but light is flashing or just stays on.

    Any advice......

Diesel.... Take it for a good hard drive as it most likely is a prelude to a DPF failiure

.CAUTION -(if equipped with DPF)When the malfunction indicatorlight blinks, it may stop blinkingafter driving the vehicle at morethan 60km/h (37 mph) or at morethan second gear with 1500 ~ 2000engine rpm for a certain time (forabout 25 minutes). If the malfunction indicator lightcontinues to blink in spite of theprocedure, please visit an author-ized HYUNDAI dealer and thencheck the DPF system.
